- 6 Golden Delicious Apples; peeled, cored and chopped
- ½ cup of a good and fresh apple cider
- Pinch of salt
Place apples in a small pot with cider. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and loosely cover the pan. Stir occasionally to assist with breaking down the apples. Let them cook to desired consistency. This will be a bit chunky. For an ultra smooth sauce, run an immersion blender through the mixture. Stir in salt to taste. Serve warm or cold. It will keep for a few days in the refrigerator. Makes about 2-1/2 to 3 cups.
